The Kuchesar Fort, an 18 century edifice-a much smaller structure then , came into the possession of our family with the conferment of the Jagir. The fort was raised to its present glory by Rao Ramdhan Singh in 1734. When he and his brother extended their sway by seizing many other villages Afrabsyab Khan, the governor of Koyal, attacked Kuchesar and razed the fort in 1763 and took the brothers as prisoners. The Jat brothers recovered the fort in 1782 .Since then, the Kuchesar fort remained in unbroken possession of the family. Later some sections were added by other members of the family.
